Project Overview

Alongside my two co-founders, we quickly identified a major gap in the digital solutions market for the construction sector: the tools were overly technical and required heavy training. With BIMONO, our goal was to create an alternative that was both easier to use and more affordable. Clients can choose the specific modules they need, along with the number of user seats required for their teams.

Implementation

As CTO and lead developer, I was responsible for selecting the tech stack and designing the infrastructure. I built a 100% JavaScript solution, with a Node.js backend and a React.js frontend. For the database, I chose MongoDB, and AWS S3 was used to handle file storage for the platform’s integrated Drive feature. Since the company is based in Geneva, we committed to hosting all application data within Switzerland. For that, I selected Jelastic Cloud, hosted by Infomaniak.
